Communications in the BE - week 1

Communications on the Built Environment - week 1 - photoshop task

the site project entitled 'tracing a city' is the group project which is to be completed this term within the course. we started working on the assignment during out site designation and group allocation which occurred in the second half of the first lesson. I was very happy about my group and excited about the site which we had been allocated as it encompassed lots of diverse and creative architectural and design elements which I knew would act as important and stylistic features for the upcoming assignment. we were given the science block, the front of the engineering building and also the walkway in-between and the secluded seating area within the greenery behind the science building. Our initial task was to take pictures of the site in the hope that one of them could be used in the home photoshopping task. there was also further documentation required such as site sketches, locating the dimensions, analysing visual aspects and determining the structural elements such as how many door and windows were located on the site. this was very interesting and I became really optimistic about the photoshop task as home which was challenging but once I understood the methods and steps required, this became straight forward. the online tutorials were very helpful and allowed me to become more familiar with the specific application.
